Meet Edgar - our member of the month in July!

Introduction round: Who are you and where are you from?
My name is Edgar, i grew up in Gera and studied in the south of Germany before moving to Berlin a couple of years ago.

What made you come to Berlin?
The only city I can imagine living in in Germany, besides maybe Hamburg. A lot of old and new friends live here and i have no reason to leave anytime soon.

What exactly do you do? What's in the pipeline for the near future?
We run an event company called Sektgar which creates, manages and produces events and premium caterings for clients like Google, BCG DV or Airbus. We take care of the whole event experience from theme to customized drinks.

Coming up next is a special edition of our boat party “Sekt on the river”. This time we will leave the overheated city of Berlin by boat and ship towards the capitals most beautiful water ways – the famous Wannsee and Havel! Feel free to join us for a glass of sparkling wine and some nice music.

Since when do you cowork at Office Club Berlin Prenzlauer Berg?
I am a coworking newbie and just joined two months ago after finally finding the right spot for me in the area - Office Club.

What is the benefit of using a coworking space for you?
As my work varies a lot between intense “office” days and event days away, I really enjoy the flexibility of the coworking concept. It is also great to have a quiet place to work from during the weekend.

Which questions / problems could you help your coworking neighbour with?
Obviously everything regarding events and caterings in Berlin. If you are in search of a location (besides Office Club of course) or need some guidance with event management let me know. I am also deeply connected with the local food and bar scene so get in touch if your looking for recommendations where to eat and drink.

Do you have favourite spots in Berlin? Something to recommend / consider especially for people coming here?
Get a bike and leave the city. Berlin and it’s surroundings are beautiful and there is so much to discover. If you fancy the sea side get on the train early in the morning and visit Usedom to spend a day at the beach before heading back to Berlin with the last train in the evening. Perfect for a hot summer sunday.
