Meet Jean Carlo - our member of the month in May!

Introduction round: Who are you and where are you from?
Hi, I'm Jean Carlo, more known as JC, and I'm from Peru.

What made you come to Berlin?
I came to Berlin in 2018 when I finished my MBA at ESADE in Barcelona. I would say I came for work, but to be honest my main reason was that my girlfriend at that point had just moved to Berlin a few months ago. Today she is my wife :)

What exactly do you do? What's in the pipeline for the near future?
Have you heard about Worth of Mouth? WoM is when happy customers refer your brand and products to their friends and family. At Buyapowa we turn WoM into a very powerful acquisition channel. We are a referral platform that designs and implements ad-hoc and white-labeled referral programs for companies around the world. I lead the business and the team in the Spanish speaking regions. Since when do you cowork at Office Club Berlin Prenzlauer Berg?
I started at Office Club in October last year.

What is the benefit of using a coworking space for you?
For me it was a no-brainer.  I live literally 7 min walking away, and the co-working space is between my daughter's kita and my home. So fits perfectly with my daily agenda. I bring Isabella (my daughter) every day to Kita and on the way back I go to the Office Club to start with my day. It gives me a sensation of being in a different environment and a feeling of being in an office space. Bear in mind that my company is based in London, so my work is 100% remote.

Which questions / problems could you help your coworking neighbour with?
I can help with anything related to: 1) referral marketing or customer acquisition or 2) best restaurants in Prenzlauer Berg.

Do you have favourite spots in Berlin? Something to recommend / consider especially for people coming here?
For people who are visiting the typical stuff (Mauerpark, East side gallery, TV Tower...). For people who live here and are foodies, I would recommend: Sasaya, Enzo, Tenzan Lab, Recapte D.O, Kanaan, Il Matarello, Hokey Pokey, Bramibal's donuts, Five Elephant, Kokio, Mayflower, 44 Brekkie, Takumi Nine, etc. You can find more details here.
